Meet Our Team

Connor Donavan,
Pastor

A native of Oklahoma, Connor was raised in Stillwater by parents who taught him from a young age of the wonder and glory of the Lord. He accepted God’s gift of salvation at the age of seven and began to pursue following a call to ministry as a senior in high school. Connor attended Oklahoma Baptist University for his undergraduate degree before moving to Birmingham, Alabama to attend Beeson Divinity School where he earned a Master of Divinity in December of 2018. In 2016, Connor married the love of his life, Julie, who also graduated from Beeson and they have two children, Robert and Abigail. Connor served as the Senior Pastor of Hollinger’s Island Baptist Church from January of 2022 until July of 2025, before accepting a call to move to Shawnee and serve as Pastor at Temple Baptist Church in August of 2025.

Tom Williams,
Youth Minister

Tom was born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma and attended Temple Baptist Church as a child. Tom went all the way through the youth group of TBC. Tom accepted the free gift of grace and gave his life to Jesus at the age of 7 and was baptized shortly after. He graduated Shawnee High School in 1999 and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University – OKC. Tom lived in the Denver, CO area from 2003-2010 after he met and married his wife, Teresa. Together they have five children: Lane, Lance, Addison, Kyle and Amelia. They have attended Temple Baptist Church together since moving back to Shawnee in 2010. Tom has served as a deacon at TBC and has worked with the youth since 2016. Tom surrendered to God’s call to ministry in May 2021 to become our youth pastor.

Julie Donavan,
Children's Minister

Julie Donavan is from Alabama and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of five. A few years later, at the age of nine, she accepted the calling to children’s ministry. Julie attended Jacksonville State University and received her bachelor’s in child development and recreational leadership in Jacksonville, Alabama in 2013. Then Julie continued her education at Beeson Divinity School where she received a Master of Divinity in 2017. During this time, she met and married her husband, Connor. They now have two children, a boy and a girl. Julie has been a children’s minister for 16 years. Julie has written curriculum and leadership material for the Alabama State Board of Missions, TAB Media Group, and Lifeway. Julie started as the children’s minister in the Spring of 2026.
